Migration from SAP to PBI

Replaced SAP BOE with a Python-based streaming pipeline, enabling real-time PBI reporting with calculated metrics and a scalable integration framework

The challenge

The client relied on SAP BOE for reporting, which lacked real-time analytics support and compatibility with modern tools. Power BI Streaming Datasets were selected, but native limitations in calculated column support posed architectural challenges.

The solution

We developed a Python-based integration that extracted, transformed, and enriched data from Oracle using Pandas. The consolidated dataset was then streamed into Power BI via REST API, delivering near real-time insights while bypassing platform constraints on calculated fields.
